What is BLANG!? Well, since the origin of the term Blog is the combination of the words, “Web” & “Log”, I thought it would be exceptionally clever to combine the word “Blog” with my name “Lange”. Blange!
Except people are constantly mispronouncing my last name with a soft “g” that sounds more like a “j”. To remedy this I dropped the “e” from the end and added an exclamation point. So “blang” rhymes with “clang” and by coincidence, in the Unix world an exclamation point is sometimes called a “bang” so you could pronounce it “blang bang”, but I won’t even go there….
By way of full disclosure I should mention that I’m employed on a contract basis with Epic Information Solutions inc. and I am also the president of the Canadian Association of VoIP Providers.
